Music & Hymns
Choosing music for your loved one’s funeral service will personalise and often set the tone for the entire service. It will truly represent them and their personality, in celebration of their life.
Most Crematorium Chapels are installed with modern media systems, which allows for music and recorded hymns to be played via their speaker system. Their music libraries are extensive, and when you have decided on the music you would like, our team will schedule for these tracks to be played during the funeral service.
It is important to note, that music tracks within these libraries are all commercially released media protected by copyright. Covers of songs or music found online, cannot be used due to licensing rules.
For funeral services in Church, it is usual for an Organist to play the chosen hymns.
For recorded tracks, we will bring our music system and speaker into Church; most often for the opening and closing music, but also be for recorded hymns if there will be no Organist to play.
Music and any recorded hymns will be scheduled from our iTunes library of commercially released media, and we are unable to play music of covers found online.
When thinking about music choices, you could consider your loved ones favourite songs, music that evokes special memories such as a first dance, or a tune from a favourite TV show or film soundtrack.
