Kevin Matthews have been our family funeral director for a long as I can remember due to the professional way they deal with grieving family. The reason for my review is recently we lost our nan and my pap was unsure who to use and went to an appointment with another funeral directors where he felt he was treated like a number , irrelevant…. Business transaction.. They didn’t speak with empathy or kindness. After that he had an appointment with Sophie from the minute she met him she knew his grief and how he was feeling. She spoke simple and made things easier for him to understand. Using these you won’t be disappointed, and they make payment plan easy so you don’t have the stress of worrying about that leading up to funeral.

My family are very grateful for the excellent service we had from all the team at Kevin Matthews.   Throughout we felt confident that they were working towards planning what we wanted, not just another job.  A very personal service starting with Ruth's helpful explanation of the options, Natalie's endless patience as we jigged the order of service and newspaper notice. Telephone communication was excellent and certainly lessened the stress.  I am sorry I cannot recall all the names but everybody was helpful.   As it would have been very difficult for me to collect the Order of Service booklet the day before the funeral, Teresa detoured on her way home and brought them to me after her day's work. Cannot comment highly enough on the support, understanding & guidance from every member of staff! Special thoughts of Louise & Sophie!
